The reserve is the lowest price a lot can be sold for. This amount is usually higher than the starting price and is determined before a lot is put up for auction. Every lot available for online bidding has an "Auction Currency" field.
If there is no reserve on a particular lot or the reserve price has been met, the text "Reserve Met" will appear. Please remember, even though there isn't a reserve placed by the seller, you will still only be able to bid the minimum increment displayed (or higher). If there is no reserve, the lot will be sold at the "Current Price", to the successful bidder on the closing of the auction.
If the seller has placed a reserve, the "Auction Currency" field will display "Reserve Met" or "Reserve Not Yet Met".
