USED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY PROGRAM
NOTE: This will only cover machines that are 5 years old or newer
and have been inspected by one of our representatives or associates. This is an
optional warranty that you as the purchaser, can purchase, at the time of
acquisition of a particular machine. This is very much like purchasing an
extended warranty on any major personal capital item. This warranty is offered
under terms and conditions attached.
The covered equipment may be installed anywhere within the United States,
Canada, Mexico or Puerto Rico. This warranty is currently NOT AVAILABLE to
equipment buyers in, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Maine, Missouri, New
York, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin. Please note that this warranty does not cover
fork-lift trucks or any moving vehicles.
Limited Warranty Coverage
Hartford Steam Boiler offers Limited Warranty on used equipment that is either
auctioned or liquidated through UWMO-Auctions or it's associates.
Warranty Coverage
The used equipment breakdown warranty covers the cost to repair or replace used
equipment following an electrical or mechanical breakdown.
Here is a sampling of the types of breakdown covered:

Equipment Controls
Unlike most warranties the coverage includes breakdowns due to operator errors
and unintended overloads. Both labor and replacement parts are included (like
parts that are customarily used in the industry).
The used equipment breakdown warranty normally begins on the date of sale, and
extends for one full year. The equipment must be installed before a covered
breakdown can occur.
Limit is 100% of the asset purchase price, not to exceed $1,000,000.
Deductible is 5% of purchase price up to a maximum of US$2,500.
The warranty does not cover performance, safety, efficiency or utility of the
equipment.
There are other exclusions that are detailed in the warranty terms and
conditions, which is attached.
Claim Process
If a covered piece of equipment suffers a mechanical or electrical breakdown,
the warranty holder contacts Hartford Steam Boiler by phone within four days to
report the claim. HSB's adjuster takes the basic loss information and where
necessary, initiates a more in-depth investigation. The warranty holder then
contacts the repair firm of their choosing or works with HSB to locate
replacement equipment. Once the extent of the covered loss is determined, HSB
reimburses the warranty holder.
Coverage is Optional
The used equipment extended warranty is included as an option in your final
invoice, so you know what the cost is up front. It's totally optional; you
decide whether or not you want to purchase it.
